Art Teacher Inspired Minds Colts Neck Art Studio 440 State Route 34, Colts Neck, NJ 07722 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire and educate students in the art of visual expression. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching various art techniques, encouraging creativity, and helping students develop their artistic skills while integrating drawing, painting and mixed media techniques. Duties Develop and implement engaging art lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and learning styles. Teach various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and creativity among students. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development. Collaborate with other educators to foster a community feeling. Organize art exhibitions or showcases to display student work and celebrate their achievements. Maintain classroom supplies and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized learning space. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns related to their artistic education. Experience A degree in Fine Art, Studio Art, Art & Design, Art Education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; prior experience in private schools or camps is a plus. Familiarity with childhood development principles and early intervention strategies is beneficial. Knowledge of learning technology to enhance the teaching process is desirable. Strong organizational skills, classroom management experience, and the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners are crucial. Personal Art Practice is a bonus as we are mentoring artists.
