Part Time Art Teacher 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars North Tonawanda, NY 14120 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity and foster a love for the arts among Kindergarten-8th grade students while developing their artistic skills and appreciation. This role involves teaching various art techniques, guiding students in their artistic expression, and integrating art education with other subjects including integrating our Christian Faith. The Art Teacher will also play a crucial role in curriculum development and adapting lessons for students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and special education requirements. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging art curriculum that aligns with educational standards. Teach various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Assess student progress through projects and standardized testing. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with disabilities and special education needs. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs. Organize art exhibitions to showcase student work within the school community. Collaborate with other educators to integrate art into cross-curricular projects. Maintain an organized classroom space that supports learning and creativity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential. Familiarity with curriculum development processes. Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities, including those in special education programs. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Previous experience teaching in a private school setting is advantageous. A passion for educating young minds through the arts.
