The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in art education, with the ability to teach diverse groups, including preschoolers, adults, and students with special needs. This role requires effective lesson planning and behavior management skills to create a positive learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging art lesson plans tailored to different age groups, including preschool, early childhood education, and adult education. Instruct students in various art techniques and mediums, encouraging exploration and creativity. Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a productive learning atmosphere. Provide individualized tutoring support to students as needed to enhance their artistic skills. Organize art exhibitions or showcases to display student work and celebrate their achievements. Collaborate with other educators to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects. Stay updated on current trends in art education and incorporate them into the curriculum. Experience Proven experience in teaching art at various educational levels, including preschool and adult education. Strong background in lesson planning with an emphasis on creativity and engagement. Experience working with special education students is a plus. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support diverse learners. Knowledge of culinary arts is a nice-to-have skill for integrating cross-disciplinary projects involving cooking and art.
