Months Position Summary:

Perform the duties of a general education teacher in accordance with the policies and procedures of the assigned school district. Duties may include, but are not limited to planning, designing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in an environment that guides and encourages a diverse group of students at all levels to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Specifically, the teacher designs learning experiences, monitors student progress and presents the information to parents, develops assessments, creates and reinforces classroom expectations, works with school administration to prepare students for a variety of assessments, and manages and supports students outside the classroom, such as in school hallways, on field trips, and during extracurricular activities, etc.

Supervised Employees:

To be determined by the district – may include paraprofessionals, new teachers, or others.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Holds or is eligible for a teaching license, with an endorsement in the appropriate subject area. Demonstrates knowledge of subject content, curriculum, and methodology of effective teaching. Skilled in the use of multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning. Able to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, administrators, and parents. Demonstrates skill in oral and written communications and excellent human relations skills.

OT:

Overtime Rates (after 40 hours/week): Hourly rate plus $15.00 (fifteen dollars and no/100s) per hour of overtime. Overtime will not be paid without prior written approval NIT01
