Montessori Teaching Full Job Description Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified independent contractor to teach American Sign Language (ASL) twice weekly at our private Montessori-style school in Delray Beach. Classes will be held year-round, starting August 19th. This is a contractor (1099) position, not an employee role.

Schedule:

Tuesdays:

Elementary & Secondary•3:15 pm•4:15 pm

Thursdays:

Primary/Kindergarten•3:15 pm•4:00 pm

Compensation:

hourly rate: $25•45/hour, based on experience and certification. Payment is issued as an independent contractor (1099).

Responsibilities:

Teach ASL to two distinct age groups (Primary/K and Elementary/Secondary) Deliver lessons using the provided curriculum and resources Assess and track student progress; adjust instruction as needed Collaborate with lead teachers and school leadership Maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language Previous experience teaching ASL to children (Montessori experience a plus) Background in early childhood or elementary education desirable Must be eligible to work as an independent contractor Able to pass a background check, including Florida Criminal Background Check and fingerprinting Must demonstrate good moral character
