Job Description:

Part-Time Spanish Teacher (Grades 1-8) $25•35 an hour•Part-time (8-10 hours/week) Spring River School, a Waldorf-inspired outdoor homeschool enrichment program in Atlantic Beach, FL, is seeking a part-time Spanish Teacher to teach grades 1-8 for the 2025-26 school year. This role focuses on delivering joyful, developmentally aligned Spanish classes outdoors in a small group setting. Each grade meets once per week in the afternoon. A classroom assistant is present during each class, and lesson planning time is paid.

Responsibilities:

Teach one 60-minute Spanish class per grade (1st-8th) weekly Use storytelling, music, games, drama, and crafts to teach Spanish in grades 1-4 Guide vocabulary, grammar, and reading/writing skills in grades 5-8 Create an engaging, supportive environment that aligns with Waldorf education principles Collaborate with program staff and communicate with families when needed Prepare lesson plans using provided curriculum materials

Qualifications:

Experience teaching Spanish to children (preferred) Passion for language, nature, and holistic education Willingness to learn about Waldorf methods (support provided) Ability to teach outdoors and manage a small class with support staff Strong communication and classroom leadership skills Background check required
