Prepares and delivers relevant and current curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and standardized assessment tools that accurately reflect effectiveness of course content.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Measures student understanding of course content Maintains accurate records of student attendance, academic achievement, and performance in accordance with university policies and procedures Distributes to each student, in each course, a university approved syllabus that includes course objectives, texts, attendance policy and materials required for course and evaluation criteria Communicates early with any student in danger of failure or in need of individual counseling Refers students to appropriate university sources for information, guidance, financial assistance, career development, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of certificate degree in culinary arts / baking and pastry Minimum 5 years of experience working in food industry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching at the secondary or post-secondary education level Five or more years of work experience in a related field Food safety managers certification approved by conference for food protection
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and ability to maintain sanitation and facility standards within a commercial kitchen environment College/university transcripts required upon hire
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations. Outstanding conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills )

SALARY AND SCHEDULE
Start salary $25/hour. Flexible schedule based on academic calendar and instructor’s skills
