Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated full-time Spanish teacher to lead our Preschool-8th grade Spanish program. This position includes offering high school level instruction to our 8th graders , instructing them in Spanish I & II to allow them to earn their highschool credits. You will create engaging lessons that build language fluency, cultural understanding, and a love of learning in students of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging Spanish instruction from PK through 8th grade Provide high school level instruction to 8th grade students (Spanish I and Spanish II) Design lessons that integrate culture, vocabulary, grammar, conversation, and literacy Foster a structured, supportive, and joyful classroom environment Collaborate with fellow faculty, staff, and administration Communicate effectively with parents and support student growth Participate in school activities, faith formation, and professional development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, World Languages, Education, or a related field Valid Florida teaching certification (or ability to obtain) Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups and learning needs
Preferred:
Experience teaching in a Lutheran or Christian school Background in high school level Spanish instruction Familiarity with differentiated instruction and current best practices Why Grace Lutheran?
