until filled The Spanish Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging Spanish language instruction to elementary and middle school students. This role involves creating a supportive and immersive classroom environment that fosters students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish. The teacher will develop age-appropriate lesson plans, integrate cultural studies, and assess student progress to ensure language acquisition and appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures. Key responsibilities include differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, collaborating with colleagues and families, and participating in school-wide events and professional development. The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for language education, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire students to become confident, global citizens.

Job Summary:

Become familiar with established curricula. Meet, take attendance and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. Develop and implement differentiated instruction, use formative and summative assessment date to meet student’s needs. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.

Qualifications:

Strong foundational background knowledge in science required. Experience working in self-contained and/or in-class support. Valid NJ Teacher of Elementary (1001) and Middle School w/ subject matter specialization World Language/Spanish (1150) or Valid NJ Teacher of Spanish certificate (1550) Qualified candidates must have strong collaborative, planning and performance assessment skills; be knowledgeable in a variety of teaching strategies and a demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural, diverse community.
