Amergis Staffing is looking for a passionate ESL Teacher who will be responsible for teaching English as a second language. In this position, you will create lesson plans, develop instructional materials, and assess students’ progress. You will also be expected to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment to help students improve their English language skills.
$40/hr.

Key Information:

Regular Monday-Friday schedule
Teaching at the Middle School/High School level
$40-$45/hr start rate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching English as a second language to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of individual students and groups.
Assessing students’ language abilities and tailoring instruction to meet their needs.
Providing feedback to students on their progress and offering suggestions for improvement.
Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student participation and motivation.
Collaborating with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
Using technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning.
Keeping accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
Staying up-to-date with current trends and developments in ESL teaching and incorporating them into instruction.

Requirements:

Fluent in English language
At least 1 year of experience in teaching English as a second language
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop lesson plans and instructional materials
Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching environments
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or equivalent
Experience working with students of different ages and backgrounds
Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and techniques
Ability to assess students’ language proficiency and progress
