Job Description
Spanish / English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher Northern Lehigh School District 1201 Shadow Oaks Lane, Slatington, PA 18080 Spanish / English as a Second Language (ESL)
Teacher:
- Effective for the 2025-2026 school year
- Permanent Full-Time Contracted Position
- Certification in Spanish and/or English as a Second Language required
- Secondary Spanish position with a middle school focus for the 2025-2026 school year. The specific ESL focus will be determined annually based on enrollment but is expected to be middle school for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Must demonstrate exceptional teaching abilities and a thorough understanding of student needs
- Ability to foster cultural understanding within the classroom, school district, and community
- Strong communication skills required to effectively engage with parents, faculty, staff, and students
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
- Excellent references required
- Bilingual/multilingual capabilities preferred
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and roles Interested and qualified persons should submit a letter of interest, resume, PA standard teaching application, transcripts, 3 letters of recommendation, copies of clearances and teaching certificate to the Human Resources Department , Northern Lehigh School District, 1201 Shadow Oaks Lane, Slatington, PA 18080.
