Conversational Spanish Instructor (Part-Time) Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities Trident Technical College is seeking dynamic part-time instructors to teach Conversational Spanish courses for the Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions of 2025. The instructional content will cover a range of topics, from basic conversational skills to communication tailored for industrial, medical, and first-responder settings. Instructors will help students develop fundamental communication skills, emphasizing essential terminology, common expressions, commands, and everyday phrases that can be applied in real-world scenarios. twice a week at Thornley Campus from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM, either on Tuesday and Thursday or Monday and Wednesday, with the remainder of the content delivered online.

Minimum and Additional Requirements This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field and at least three (3) years of relevant professional experience. Proven teaching experience and the ability to teach students in person are essential. The candidate must have a strong command of conversational Spanish and be willing to use specialized terminology from professional fields when required. Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will have the skills and abilities to: Plan, execute, and adapt course content with minimal supervision Excellent classroom management skills and foster a supportive student environment. Teaching experience in hybrid formats. Adapt to various student learning styles. D2L Brightspace experience.
