To support students and lead them toward the fulfillment of their potential for academic growth and to communicate with parents/guardians of ESL students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Plans for appropriate instruction to support grade level standards Administers diagnostic tests and evaluates student’s progress on a regular basis Maintains records of all ESL students and their status Communicates with teachers and parents to support the academic development of ESL students Assists with translation and interpretation services when needed Performs other work duties when assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 50 lbs., or the weight of an average child, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weight up to 25 lbs. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: Pushing and/or pulling Climbing Stooping and/or kneeling Reaching Talking Hearing Seeing
