  • tenure track faculty position for the 2025-2026 academic year beginning August 1, 2025, and ending May 11, 2026.

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in introductory biology, both lab and lecture and service at the department level. Faculty rank will be Lecturer. The Department of Biology offers an engaging learning environment with emphasis on experiential learning. Serving approximately 450 students, it is the largest department in the College of Science and Math. Among the 20 faculty, several have won awards for teaching and service, and their active research programs are designed to engage students in them. The department offers the Bachelor of Arts, the Bachelor of Science and the Master of Science with both a thesis and non-thesis option. Required Qualifications Master degree in Biology Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching Documented evidence of effective teaching appropriate to the applicant’s career stage Experience teaching introductory biology labs for majors and non-majors at a regional comprehensive university Preferred Qualifications Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting A record of mentoring students Proposed Salary Commensurate with experience.
