Statement:

The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct instructor for a veterinary emergency/critical care medicine course on the Bangor campus. Applicants should be willing to teach both on campus (face-to face courses) as well as online. In addition to smart classrooms, our instructors have access to a complete surgical suite, large pre-surgical area, and digital radiography on campus to enhance student learning. The appointment will begin summer semester 2026. For additional information about UMA’s programs and degrees, please click here. Qualifications Required:

Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited (AVMA) university
Current Maine State Veterinary license

Preferred:

A strong commitment to teaching
Demonstrated teaching skills
Previous teaching experience
Excellent communication skills with students, peers, administrations, staff, and the general public
Ability to work in a collaborative team setting

Salary:

 The salary range is per credit hour and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
