Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Qualifications Essential:
A Master’s Degree in Animal Husbandry or Finance, Agriculture Economics, or related fields from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 5 years experience in the agriculture industry.
Ability to teach Principles of Animal Science, Rodeo Management, Agriculture Finance, or Agriculture Economic courses. Must have 18 graduate hours in related fields qualified to teach undergraduate Agri-Business-related courses.
Strong knowledge of agri-business concepts, market trends, and financial practices within the agriculture sector. Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students.
Desired:

Experience with industries seeking agri-business graduates. Position Description The University of West Alabama College of Business is seeking to hire an experienced and dedicated adjunct faculty member in Agri-business to teach undergraduate courses on-campus and/or online starting August 2025.
Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate Principles of Animal Science, Rodeo Management, Agriculture Finance, and Agriculture Economics courses.
Fulfill other duties expected of a faculty member, such as student advising, committee assignments, appropriate public and professional service, research, professional development, and college recruitment and retention activities.
Work with faculty from various colleges on cross-campus collaboration curriculums.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson and/or Dean.
