Job Summary:

The Business Marketing Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in business, marketing, and related career pathways to high school students. The teacher will prepare students with practical skills in business operations, entrepreneurship, marketing strategies, digital communication, and financial literacy. This position supports college and career readiness through real- world applications, project-based learning, and potential career/technical student organization (CTSO) involvement such as FBLA.

Essential Duties :

Teach business and marketing courses aligned with Arkansas state standards and district curriculum. Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials that are engaging, relevant, and differentiated to meet the needs of all students. Provide students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as entrepreneurship, business management, digital marketing, advertising, branding, and financial literacy. Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technology tools to support diverse learning styles and enhance student engagement. Promote problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration through individual and group projects. Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance; assess learning using both formative and summative assessments. Support students with IEPs, 504s, ELL, G/T, and other learning needs through appropriate modifications and accommodations. Create a positive, safe, and orderly classroom environment that supports learning and student development. Participate in the development and leadership of CTSO activities (e.g., FBLA), competitions, or career-readiness events. Engage with the local business community to explore guest speakers, internship opportunities, or real-world project partnerships. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff to foster strong school-home connections. Attend and participate in faculty meetings, school activities, and professional development as required. Collaborate with colleagues to plan instruction, align assessments, and support student success. Qualifications:

Valid Arkansas teaching license with Business Education or Marketing Technology certification (or eligibility to obtain). Strong knowledge of current business practices, digital tools, and marketing trends. Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Commitment to preparing students for postsecondary success and workforce readiness.
