Fort Valley State University, the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia, is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2,800 students including graduate students. JOB SUMMARY

Fort Valley State University’s Department of Business Administration invites applications and nominations for part-time positions in supply chain and logistics management.

MAJOR DUTIES

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and skill in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. Maintain subject matter expertise and keep up-to-date with industry developments. Continuously improve instructional quality by reviewing and applying innovative teaching methodologies and delivery methods. Engage in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness. Plan, develop, and implement a variety of teaching methods and materials to support diverse learning styles and backgrounds. Foster student engagement through case studies, simulations, group projects, and industry-relevant assignments. Evaluate student performance based on established course objectives and learning outcomes. Provide timely feedback and keep students informed of their academic progress. Maintain accurate and confidential student records. Submit grades, attendance rosters, and other required documentation within prescribed timelines. Review, evaluate, and recommend appropriate textbooks and learning materials that support course objectives and industry relevance. Teach classes at various times and locations to meet institutional and program needs, including online and hybrid formats if applicable. Demonstrate competence in using classroom technology and show willingness to explore and adopt new instructional tools and platforms. Use instructional equipment and facilities responsibly and courteously. Assist in routine maintenance of instructional labs when necessary. Adhere to all institutional policies and deadlines related to grading, attendance, and reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in supply chain and Logistics Management Minimum of eighteen (18) graduate credit hours in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from an accredited business school At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level Experience teaching in both face-to-face and online modalities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
