Health Care Management Adjunct Position Available In Norfolk, Massachusetts

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Adjunct Instructor – Health Care Management Mount Vernon Nazarene University exists to shape lives through educating the whole person and cultivating Christ-likeness for lifelong learning and service. The University seeks a part-time online Adjunct Instructor in Health Care Management for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.

Responsibilities:

All business graduate and professional degree programs use standardized curricula in which the textbook, learning objectives, assignments, assessments, weekly activities, and grading scale have been developed. All instructors are required to teach the course using these materials, which are provided to the students through our learning management system, Moodle.

• Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons (note that preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching each course)
• Suitably challenge, engage, serve, and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect
• Complete grade books, learning assessments and final exam assessments in a timely manner.
• Respond to student questions in a timely manner
• Identify and refer at-risk students to specific academic support services
• Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus

Expectations of Adjunct Instructors:

• Evangelical Christian confession of faith and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; training in Moodle will be provided
• Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills
• Engaging classroom style and appreciation of successful instructional approaches for a range of academic abilities

Qualifications Required:

• An earned doctorate in Health Care Management or related Health Care Administration/Business field from a regionally accredited institution
