Job Summary/Basic Function
The School of Agriculture at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#102040) in Agribusiness at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong quantitative skills and the ability to excel in applied research.
Secure external funding to support a nationally recognized research program.
Teach a variety of undergraduate agribusiness courses, including policy, management, marketing, data analysis, and finance.
Supervise undergraduate research projects.
Develop and teach online courses.
Advise student organizations.
Engage in public service and student mentoring.
Demonstrate effective teaching, organizational, and communication skills.
Collaborate effectively with peers, students, constituent groups, and the general public.
Required Education
A terminal degree in agribusiness, agricultural economics, economics, applied economics, natural resource and environmental economics, business, agricultural leadership, marketing, management, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
Other Desirables
Applicants with evidence of high-quality teaching experience, demonstrated through course evaluations and recommendations, the ability to conduct and publish agribusiness-related research, evidenced by presentation and publication records, and a track record of attracting or potential to attract external funding will receive special consideration.
