Faculty Job Summary The Department of Marketing at East Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Lecturer or Professor of Practice beginning August 2025. This is a 9-month academic, non-tenured position, and is renewable every 3 years. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to teach and support the development of student programs in marketing. The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring students and supporting student organizations. The College of Business and Technology at East Tennessee State University is AACSB accredited. CBAT employs approximately 100 full-time faculty members and serves over 3,000 students. By the time of appointment, candidates must have earned at least a Master’s in Marketing, MBA or Doctorate in a similar field.
Experience teaching at undergraduate levels in areas such as general marketing (i.e., principles of marketing or business communications) or professional selling and sales management.
Experience developing and building relationships among organizations
Experience collaborating with the business community
Qualifications to be considered as a Lecturer
By the time of appointment, candidates must have earned at least a Master’s in Marketing or MBA from an AACSB-accredited university.
Experience teaching at undergraduate levels in areas such as general marketing (i.e., principles of marketing or business communications) or professional selling and sales management.
Experience developing and building relationships among organizations
Experience collaborating with the business community
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with community-engaged learning course or project development
Experience with community related service
