Salary Placement and Work Hours:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
JOB TITLE
Soccer Coach
FUNCTION
The primary functions of the head Soccer Coach are to provide instruction, guidance, and supervision to the NACC men’s and/or women’s soccer teams, to coordinate the activities of the NACC soccer program; to stay current on and maintain collegepliance with all National Junior College Athletic Association, Alabama Community College Conference, Alabama Community College System, and Department of Education regulations and policies regarding soccer or sports programs; and to assist the institution with special assignments related to NACC sports programs and student services as directed by the President. In addition, this position mustply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide soccer instruction to student athletes
Evaluate, recruit, and rmend student athletes for soccer scholarships
Coordinate with the Athletic Director to plan the annual schedule of soccer practices and games and to make arrangements for the annual schedules of activities and games
Conduct training and practices as sanctioned by NJCAA
Conduct physical conditioning sessions and practices for student athletes
Instruct student athletes on the rules and fundamentals of soccer
Supervise student athletes at practices, during travel, and while attending college, ACCS, and NJCAA events
Coordinate with the Athletic Director to make arrangements for all soccer games, including the arrangement of officials; team travel amodations and transportation; assistance with visiting team amodations; and refreshments and/or meals as needed
Assist with the registration and application process of soccer activities for NACC
Maintain current knowledge on and inpliance with all Title IX, National Junior College Athletic Association, Alabama Community College System, and Department of Education regulations regarding soccer programs
Communicate regularly with the Athletic Director and the President regarding team activities and business
Serve as the immediate supervisor for assistant soccer coaches
Work closely with the Athletic Director to develop an annual budget for the NACC soccer program and ad to the budget
Ensure effective maintenance of and replacement requests for physical resources of the program
Monitor the inventory of uniforms, supplies, and equipment for the NACC soccer program
Promote the NACC soccer program atmunity, college, and fundraising events
Monitor the athletic progress of student athletes to keep them on track for eligibility and graduation
Maintain accurate records andpile reports for the program and as requested by the Athletic Director and/or the President
Serve onmittees or panels as needed by the NJCAA or ACCC athletic conference
Serve as the liaison between NACC and local high school soccer programs and work closely with the Coordinator of Recruiting and High School Relations regarding recruitment activities of the institution
Work with the Title IX Coordinator to ensure that all student athletesplete mandatory training annually regarding important Clery Act and Title IX topics
In addition to soccer coaching responsibilities, this position will Monitor and ensure maintenance and upkeep of grounds and facilities for NACC sports programs as directed by the President, making rmendations and requests to the Athletic Director and President as needed to ensure that NACC facilities remain excellent, effective, and efficient
Serve as a game manager for other sports programs as directed by the President
Provide other support as needed by the Athletic Director or the President for athletic or student services activities Complete or participate in special assignments related to NACC sports programs and student services as directed by the President
Have knowledge of andmitment to the philosophy and objectives of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College
Represent the College and its philosophy to prospective students and to others in themunity
Participate in required employee training
Perform any additional duties that may be assigned by the President or supervisor
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated skill in soccer-related instruction is required
Ability to effectivelymunicate, both orally and written Possess excellentanizational and planning skills

Ability to work day or evening hours as required by the program, which may include travel and overnight stays and weekends
Knowledge of rules and regulations as they relate to ACCS and NJCAA events

Knowledge of established policies and procedures of the college
