Assistant Softball Coach 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1200 West Montgomery Road, Tuskegee, AL 36088 Position Information Position Title Assistant Softball Coach Status Full Time Job Summary The Assistant Softball Coach assists the Head Softball Coach with all facets of the program; to include organization, development, and leadership of a highly competitive Division II softball program in support of the mission and core values of Tuskegee University. Essential Job Duties Assist the head coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport Organize and direct individuals and small group practices and exercises as directed Maintain current knowledge and adhere to all college, NCAA and conference rules and regulations Assist with recruitment of qualified student-athletes Demonstrate effective teaching/coaching methods and possess excellent leadership skills Assist with games and practice preparations and planning Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university Three or more years of coaching experience at a high school or collegiate level Must have knowledge o of NCAA rules and regulations Physical Demands May involve frequent bending, moving, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires standing for at least 4 hours each day and working in all weather conditions Exposure to high noise levels Additional physicals demand includes, but not limited to physical involvement in all practices and workouts with players
