Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program Must have or be willing to obtain
CDL Essential Duties :
Establish performance criteria for competition and manage athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship Instruct athletes in fundamentals, develop character, model expected behavior Ability to work with players, parents, administration and other coaches Ensures that student-athletes practicing or playing have been cleared through the Athletic Director Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sports Board Approved Stipend $3,500.
