$26.2K – $38.4K a year 23 hours ago Qualifications Mid-level Bachelor’s degree Organizational skills Full Job Description The position is for a Catholic 9-12 high school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that is part of the Archdiocese of Miami. Local candidates are preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered for the 2025-2026 school year. All employees hired by the Archdiocese of Miami will need to complete the Archdiocesan criminal background screening prior to employment, and participate in Safe Environment Virtus Training (U.S. Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People) shortly after hire.

Responsibilities:

Organizing practices and general meetings to prepare for tournaments Planning and arranging for travel (4 – 5 travel tournaments per school year) Coaching and judging at local tournaments (15-20 per school year) Overseeing and organizing parent volunteers and judging at tournaments Organizing and directing student development, fundraising, and coaching for speech and debate events Communicating with parents of a team of 30 – 40 Attending tournaments on the national circuit and locals, nearly all on weekends Overseeing all team finances and budget Teaching a reduced course load of 1-2 various speech and debate classes alongside extracurricular coaching duties. Must be available starting August 2025.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experienced in coaching and traveling with the NSDA, NCFL and/or FFL leagues Experience directing all aspects of tournament participation for students, volunteers and judges Experience working with school administrators and support staff

Education:

Minimum of a

Bachelor’s Degree Certifications:
