Position Summary:

The UNF Men’s Basketball program is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Assistant to support day-to-day operations of the team. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about basketball, eager to learn, and interested in gaining experience at the NCAA Division I level.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide on-court support during team practices (e.g., rebounding, passing, defending drills) Help coordinate team logistics (equipment, hydration, and gear distribution) Support game-day operations, including pregame preparation, bench management, and post-game responsibilities Aid in video coordination, scouting report distribution, and film breakdown (as directed by coaching staff) Help monitor student-athlete academic and athletic progress in collaboration with staff Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and NCAA compliance at all times Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach or director of operations

Qualifications:
Required:

High school diploma or equivalent Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and operations Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Ability to maintain professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel

Preferred:

Prior experience in a collegiate basketball environment (as player, manager, or staff) Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Hudl, Synergy, Sportscode) Enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree program at UNF (not required, but a plus)

Additional Information:

This is a part-time, non-benefited position limited to 25 hours per week. The role is subject to NCAA rules and institutional policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-level athletic environment and may lead to future opportunities within collegiate athletics.
