Immediate / Pre-Season (July – November) About SFA Academy Football SFA Academy has quickly become a powerhouse in high school football— State Championship appearance in Year 1 , Semifinals in Year 2 , and Year 3 is all about chasing the title . We pride ourselves on building tough, disciplined, and intelligent players who compete at the highest level—week in and week out. Position Overview We are searching for a hard-nosed, detail-driven Linebackers Coach with playing experience at the linebacker position and a passion for developing the heart and soul of the defense. The ideal candidate brings a blue-collar mentality , high energy, and a deep understanding of run fits, pass drops, and communication across the second level.

Responsibilities:

Coach and develop linebackers in technique, reads, and football IQ Teach physicality, proper leverage, and pursuit angles Install position-specific drills and fundamentals into daily practice routines Break down film and prepare players for weekly opponents Emphasize leadership, communication, and execution in all situations Assist with special teams and other areas of the program as needed Maintain discipline, accountability, and relentless work ethic

Requirements:

High school football coaching experience required (linebacker coaching experience preferred) Former linebacker playing experience required (college or high school level) Must be reliable, hands-on, and ready to lead by example Strong understanding of defensive schemes, gap integrity, and coverage assignments Willingness to commit to a year-round, championship-level schedule Ability to motivate young men and develop leaders on and off the field Team-first mentality and ability to collaborate within a competitive staff
