(AU) Assistant Coach, Track and Field (pole vault) 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Umatilla, FL 32784 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about sports and youth development, with a focus on fostering a positive and engaging environment for students. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the head coach to implement training programs, manage team dynamics, and promote skill development among participants. Duties Assist in planning and conducting practice sessions to enhance athletes’ skills and teamwork. Provide guidance and support during games, ensuring athletes understand strategies and techniques. Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of participants, promoting a safe and supportive environment. Implement behavior management strategies to maintain discipline and focus during practices and competitions. Collaborate with the head coach to develop training programs tailored to individual athletes’ needs. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding athlete progress and team activities. Foster a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork among all participants. Requirements Experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is preferred. Background in childcare or experience working with students is highly desirable. Skills in cheerleading, karate, or similar activities are a plus. Ability to climb and engage in physical activities as required by the coaching role. Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide young athletes. Certification as a lifeguard or experience in health clubs is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with students, parents, and staff. A passion for sports and youth development is essential.
