About Us:
Neighborhood Tennis is a community-based tennis academy that offers dynamic summer programs for children ages 3 to 16. Our mission is to create a fun and educational environment where kids develop tennis skills, build friendships, and stay active all summer long. We run camps at two locations: Coral Gables Country Club (Coral Gables) and Kirk Munroe Tennis Center (Coconut Grove).
Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Tennis Coach Assistants to join our summer camp team. This role supports our lead coaches in delivering engaging tennis instruction, organizing games and activities, and supervising young campers. Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, have a passion for tennis, and thrive in a team-oriented, outdoor environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead coaches with daily tennis drills and group instruction Supervise campers during tennis, swimming, soccer, and lunch/snack breaks Help set up and clean up equipment and courts Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all campers Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and campers Encourage positive behavior and sportsmanship
Qualifications:
Experience playing or coaching tennis (competitive or recreational) Enjoys working with children ages 3 to 16 Responsible, punctual, and energetic CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain) Must be available for most weeks during summer (June-August)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Exact schedule may vary slightly by location)
Compensation:
$10-$25 per hour (depending on experience)
