Responsibilities Successfully complete Driving and Vehicle Safety class offered through Quest and obtain approval to operate large capacity vehicles (10-12 passenger vans and wheelchair busses) Comply with all DOT regulations and local laws relating to operation of a vehicle Drive large capacity vehicles to provide transportation to program participants to/from training center and community outings. Treat all people with dignity and respect, ensuring all personal rights are met including communicating in a friendly and professional manner with all people, including program participants, coworkers, visitors, and customers Provide constant supervision, engagement, and support to program participants by consistently meeting schedule requirements to ensure proper ratio requirements of assigned individuals Facilitate skill development programs for assigned participants including required instruction, assistance, prompting, and documentation. Actively participate in ideas, suggestions, and feedback on assigned skill development programs Actively facilitate, assist, and encourage program participants to participate and engage in meaningful day activities (i.e., Art, Fitness, Social, Adult Education), community inclusion trips, and other routine activities in program schedule through own involvement and participation. Actively participate in ideas, suggestions, and feedback on meaningful day activities Ensure outlined processes and timelines are met in relation to paid vocational skill training, including assisting in contract work, performing quality assurance for contract work, loading/unloading of contract work, etc. Implement personal care, meal and behavior service protocols as outlined by facility and provide care for program participants, including activities of daily living (personal hygiene needs, toileting, mealtime assistance, and repositioning) Monitor and report any issues related to the personal care and medical needs of people in the home as well as any needs for wheelchairs or adaptive equipment Complete required data collection/documentation accurately and in a timely manner for training programs, behavior plans, service goals, attendance, incident reports, seizure monitoring sheets, and production tally sheets Facilitate safe working environment through performing routine housekeeping duties, reporting of potential hazards, and consistently maintaining assigned facility/area in a safe and clean manner Report all incidents of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the Abuse Hotline (1-800-96-ABUSE). Follow all emergency procedures during a drill or in an emergency Report to work during inclement weather to ensure adequate supervision and care of all program participants. This may include sheltering in place during a hurricane Attend all required trainings and monthly staff meetings Follow all Quest policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications High school diploma and must be 18 years or older required Florida Driver’s License with no more than two moving violations in the past three years Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship from our company now or in the future Read, write, understand, and give/follow directions in English Perform physical requirements associated with transferring/positioning individuals, implementation of behavioral crisis management, and lifting/carrying up to 50lbs.
