AAU 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach Jupiter River Dogs Jupiter, FL 33458 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Basketball Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in basketball and experience working with students of various skill levels. This role involves not only teaching the fundamentals of basketball but also fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players. The Basketball Coach will be responsible for developing training programs, organizing practices, and mentoring athletes to help them reach their full potential. Duties Develop and implement effective training programs tailored to the skill levels of players. Conduct regular practices focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy. Educate athletes on the rules of basketball, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Monitor the physical and mental well-being of players during practices and games. Organize and oversee team activities, including games, and tournaments. Provide constructive feedback to athletes to enhance their performance. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a positive environment within the health club or gym setting. Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in basketball coaching or playing at a competitive level. Experience working with students or youth in an educational or athletic setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively educate and motivate players. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
