$28.8K – $34.5K a year 19 hours ago Qualifications Leadership Teaching Entry level Full Job Description We are looking for dedicated and passionate leaders to join our Valhallan Esports Arena Coaching Team in St. Johns. As an Esports Arena Coach, you will have the opportunity to work with kids and have a lot of fun teaching and mentoring your esports athletes! The job will involve coaching gamers across all skill levels from entry level to advanced, aged 7-17. We are looking for coaches passionate about mentoring and guiding young players to reach their full potential while understanding and learning healthy gaming habits. Positions are part-time and include work in the evenings during the week and occasional weekends
Responsibilities :
Oversee the day-to-day coaching and player engagement Review, understand and teach the content from the Valhallan coaching guides on a daily basis. Create a positive and safe environment in which players can grow Evaluate and determine game-specific knowledge and skills of players Provide consistent feedback to parents regarding their players. Maintain a clean work environment. Report daily and weekly progress of players to supervisor.
Requirements :
Prior coaching, teaching or leading experience with youth. Knowledge about esports and at least one of the following games: Valorant, Fortnite, Apex, Overwatch, Smash Bros., Minecraft, Marvel Rivals and/or Rocket League. Have a basic knowledge and ability to troubleshoot gaming technology and quickly grasp basic gaming concepts. Have the ability, passion and desire to teach, mentor and coach players 7-17 years old. Be able to collaborate with a team. Be willing to work a flexible schedule. Be self-motivated and self-directed.
Preferred:
Passionate about esports, gaming and youth enrichment. Extensive knowledge of gaming technology and PCs.
