Position Summary As a Head Coach at Orangetheory Fitness, you’ll lead from the front—coaching dynamic group sessions, managing and mentoring the coaching team, and fostering a studio culture built on energy, excellence, and engagement. You’ll ensure consistency in class quality, assist with scheduling, and partner with studio leadership to create an unforgettable member experience. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the fitness coaching team across all studio sessions Create and maintain the coaching schedule using MindBody Online Partner with the Studio Manager to foster a positive, inclusive work culture across fitness and sales staff Coach high-quality, high-energy Orangetheory classes, ensuring every member receives an exceptional experience Uphold studio cleanliness and maintain equipment and training areas Promote OTF training both inside and outside the studio through community events and outreach Monitor member safety in all sessions, ensuring proper heart rate zones, form, posture, and equipment usage Drive member engagement, class attendance, and retention through leadership and performance Attend and contribute to monthly team meetings, webinars, and ongoing fitness education Qualifications Intermediate to advanced knowledge of physiology, biomechanics, and functional movement Experience in group fitness instruction and/or personal training (2-3 years preferred) Proven ability to adapt exercises in real-time for all fitness levels Current nationally recognized fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA, NFPT, NPTI, etc.) — Required Current CPR/AED Certification — Required Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field — Preferred Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills High-energy, motivating presence with a passion for helping others Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs and demonstrate exercises as needed Flexible schedule availability (days, nights, weekends, holidays) Physical Demands Head Coaches are required to be active throughout each workout, including demonstrating movements with equipment such as: Bosu Balls Medicine Balls Dumbbells TRX Systems Ab Dollies Rowers and Treadmills
