Position Description Within this per diem position the Head Coach of the Men’s Futsal National Team will be responsible for coaching the Men’s Futsal National Team, helping to develop individual players to compete at the sport’s highest levels. Manage the daily high-performance requirements of the national team players and staff within training and competition environments. The candidate will be responsible for guiding the team through multiple domestic camps, as well as creating individual training programs, in preparation for regional and international tournament competitions. The Futsal National Team’s ultimate goal should be qualifying for and competing at the FIFA Futsal Soccer World Cup. Context of the Head Coach of the

Futsal National Team:

Works to support the leaders of the ENT Department
Supports the goals and initiatives of the ENT Program
Prepares Futsal National Team to perform at the highest level
Contributes to the long-term vision and policy of the Federation Purpose of the Head Coach of the

Futsal National Team:

Lead the National Team Camps for the Futsal National Team
Lead remote training opportunities and individual training programs
Work with the leadership of ENT on all program areas (i.e. including player identification, scheduling, session design/delivery, player release, and budgeting)
Work collaboratively with the ENT development managers on all program areas (i.e. player / coach enhancement, education, scouting and program development)
Contribute to the development of a strategic plan to accelerate the development of ENT programs and players
Identify, support and develop resources required to fulfill the strategic requirements of the ENT Primary Responsibilities Head Coach of the

Futsal National Team:

Along with ENT staff, ensure the delivery of the U.S. Way within the Futsal National Team environment. Create and implement a Futsal Soccer National Team Plan and Technical Plan.
Manage full-time and per diem staff in the build-up to and during training and competition.
Support club and player development at all game levels, including helping to facilitate competitive opportunities within futsal at a local, regional, and national level. Support the creation and delivery of a talent identification matrix that incorporates current futsal players and identifies possible “talent transfers” from alternative disciplines.
Identify key providers for the delivery of presentations and/or coaching clinics to raise awareness and identify participants for ENT program.
Build mutually beneficial relationships with Professional and non-Professional Clubs, Leagues, Colleges, and staff working within the game.
Contribute the development of futsal coaches at all levels of the game. Assist with other program duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, coaching other ENT National Teams within your core area. Tasks and Duties of the Head Coach of the

Futsal National Team:

Lead and coach the Futsal National Team at domestic, regional, and international competitions.
Design and implement individual development plans for futsal to promote the development of players in their home environment. Collaborate with US Soccer’s Talent ID Department to integrate metrics allowing tracking of potential players (from the mainstream game).
Support players within the Player Enhancement Program, including but not limited to delivering Dedicated Training Weeks at the National Training Center, online support, and individual training programs. Create a database of current futsal players (youth, adult, overseas and domestic).
Work with clubs, leagues and coaches to release National Team players for international duty.
Support the creation and delivery of specialized coach education courses for futsal. Manage staff and players during all Futsal NT training sessions and competitions. Support the creation of better playing environments at a domestic level (i.e. club development and competitive non-NT opportunities).
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the program and monitor trends.
Contribute to the other sporting ENT programs (projects, initiatives, calls, meetings, camps, courses, events, etc.)
Communicate and interact with stakeholders from membership, media, donors, sponsors, etc., as assigned.
Assist with other ENT program duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, or a related discipline
USSF/Confederation “A” License or equivalent experience within Futsal
Experience in a High-Performance soccer environment (Senior Pro, Pro Youth, Elite Youth or National Teams)
Strong leadership skills and ability to solve problems and execute decisions under pressure
General knowledge of soccer Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) Desired Qualifications Proven history successfully managing players and staff within a soccer environment
Experience of working within multi-layered high high-performing organizations Proven history of developing players and creating inclusive and high-performing cultures
Excellent organizational, collaborative, and leadership abilities. Proficient in computers with software such as: Microsoft Office
Strong understanding of game analysis tools such as Hudl and SportsCode
Strong verbal, written, in-person and presentation communication skills
Excellent organizational, data collection, planning, and leadership skills
