VOLLEYBALL JUNIOR VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH
Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, Ga., with an enrollment of 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with the Upper School Head Coach, the JV Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting various aspects of the girls volleyball program. The Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Pace Academy and Georgia High School Association (GHSA).
Duties include:
Daily team coaching alongside the coaching staff Drive players to/from games, as needed, in a 14-passenger school bus Representing Pace Academy and the girls volleyball program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possess and maintain a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of Pace Academy; Coaching experience and a good understanding of how to work with student-athletes in grades nine through 12 A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept Effective leadership and coaching skills Good communication skills with players, parents/caregivers and the Office of Athletics Is energetic, self-motivated, flexible, punctual, dependable and a team player.
WORK HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS
A part-time late-July to early October seasonal appointment. Responsibilities include practices (2 hours) and games (approximately 2 hours) on Monday-Friday and some weekend Saturday tournament needs. All coaches are employed on an annual basis. Continued employment is based on a seasonal review conducted by the Director of Athletics/Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach.

Standing and walking for extended periods of time during practices and games Able to squat, stoop, kneel, reach above the head, reach forward and repeat the same hand motion often Coaching in all weather extremes, including heat, cold, rain and/or snow Long hours during the competitive season, including evenings and weekends Light to moderate lifting
