Job Description

Head Coach Pike Soccer Inc. Williamson, GA 30292 Job Overview Pike Soccer Inc., a respected organization with a strong presence in the SCCL through its club team, Pike Fury FC, is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Soccer Coach. This pivotal role is responsible for leading and developing a competitive club team within the Pike Fury FC program, fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment for young athletes. The Head Coach will be instrumental in shaping the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development of players, while also upholding the values and standards of Pike Soccer Inc. This position requires a strong commitment to player development, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with players, parents, and club leadership. The Head Coach will report to the Director of Coaching and will play a key role in advancing the mission of Pike Soccer Inc. to provide a high-quality soccer experience for its members. Duties Design and implement comprehensive training plans that focus on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development of players, aligned with Pike Soccer Inc.’s curriculum and philosophy. Conduct regular training sessions that are engaging, challenging, and age-appropriate. Evaluate player performance, provide constructive feedback, and create individual development plans for each player. Foster a positive and supportive team environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for the game. Identify and nurture player talent, preparing players for advancement within the club and beyond. Develop and implement game strategies and tactics based on opponent analysis and team strengths. Make informed decisions regarding player selection, formations, and substitutions during games. Analyze game performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies accordingly. Serve as a positive role model for players, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Motivate and inspire players to achieve their full potential, both individually and as a team. Manage player behavior and enforce team rules and club policies. Resolve conflicts and address player concerns in a fair and timely manner. Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, and club leadership. Communicate regularly with parents regarding team schedules, player progress, and club information. Work collaboratively with assistant coaches (if applicable), the Director of Coaching, and other club staff. Attend coaches’ meetings and other club events as required.

Skills Extensive Soccer Knowledge:

A deep understanding of soccer techniques, tactics, and strategies.

Coaching Expertise:

Proven ability to develop players of varying skill levels, design effective training programs, and provide constructive feedback.

Leadership Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with players, parents, and club officials.

The ability to build rapport with players, parents, and colleagues, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Licenses and Certifications:

A valid coaching license (USSF, UEFA, or equivalent) is highly desirable and often required.
