Job Description
Assistant Coach Cheer and Stunt
The STUNT and Cheer Assistant Coach aids in all facets of the STUNT and Cheer programs, with an emphasis on instructing, training, conditioning, recruiting, and choreographing/teaching of material.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with daily practice procedures, as well as helping with the choreography and teaching of game-day material to help engage students and promote a positive and exciting game-day atmosphere.
Assist in teaching and training athletes in the sport of STUNT following the material given by USA Cheer.
Assists in organizing game day preparations, team meals, and team.
Assists in the recruiting of qualified student-athletes and monitoring student-athlete academic progress.
Provide leadership and guidance in the personal and athletics development of student athletes.
Assists in organizing practice plans, travel, and game day preparations.
Assists in choreographing and teaching game day, performance, and national material/routines.
Promotes a favorable image of the College. Assists in encouraging surrounding community partnerships that enhance Centenary College.
Assists in fundraising for the Cheer and STUNT programs
Assists in administering and overseeing Cheer and STUNT camps
Working knowledge of cheer and STUNT rules and guidelines, knowledge or experience with USA Cheer and USA Cheer college rules.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Cheer and STUNT Coach/Spirit Coordinator or Director of Athletics and Recreation
Committing to College, Department of Athletics and Recreation and NCAA rules and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
MINIMUM
3 or more years as a cheerleader or STUNT team member or experience in cheer or STUNT coaching at the college or junior college level preferred.
Knowledge and experience in choreographing game day and performance, material.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
Well organized and self-motivated
Ability to assist in recruiting, supervising, and evaluating student athletes
