JV Golf Coach 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 9 Widger Rd, Marblehead, MA 01945 The Marblehead High School JV Golf Coach is responsible for leading and motivating a team of high school players to practice regularly, compete in matches, and attend fundraising activities. The coach is expected to teach players various Golf skills and strategies. In addition, the coach will promote teamwork, sportsmanship,respect, commitment, integrity, and responsibility. JV Golf Coach:
QUALIFICATIONKnowledge of Golf techniques, strategy, and plays.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Ability to mentor and motivate athletes, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goalsOrganizational and management skills, including the ability to schedule and plan practices and events.
Familiarity with Golf rules, etiquette, and safety guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience playing and or coaching golfLeads by example regarding the promotion of sportsmanshipMust complete all Massachusetts coaching requirements, which includes the NFHS Concussion CertificateMust complete Marblehead School District requirements: Fingerprinting, CORI Background checkMust complete CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity, and the ability to bend, stoop, walk, talk, and sitBe exposed to heat, humidity, dust, rain, snow, and other weather and adverse environmental conditions.
The ability to travel between locationsRESPONSIBILITIESMake practice plans and prepare the team to compete.
Attend all practices and matches, including supervising on the bus to and from away matches. Communicate the team’s practice and game schedule with the team and parents or guardians. Communicate all fundraising activities with the team and parents or guardians.
Organize, distribute, and collect uniforms from the team.
Maintains a positive staff relationship with other coaches and the trainer..Work with the varsity coach and athletic director to ensure compliance with all necessary requirements and regulations, including safety and liability issues.
