Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Head Coach of Babson Club Lacrosse is responsible for leading and developing the team, fostering a competitive and inclusive environment while promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. This role involves organizing practices, developing game strategies, and ensuring the overall success of the program both on and off the field.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Organizing and overseeing practices and games. Providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to club members. Representing the club in a professional manner in all capacities. Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE

Student club lacrosse players

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree. At least 1 year of coaching experience Or 5+ years of playing experience Excellent communication Passionate about lacrosse and helping those who may be less experience grow on the field. Ability to work with culturally ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies. Strong supervisory skills. Envisions and proposes new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; takes thoughtful risks; and accepts new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results. Anticipates and embraces change; demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Must be able to work under all weather conditions. Must be able to work early mornings, evenings and weekend. Must have had a valid unrestricted U.S. Driver’s License for one year, and maintain throughout employment an insurable (as determined by the College’s insurer’s criteria) or a satisfactory driving record; must successfully complete and pass the College’s vehicle training program within the first 60 days of employment; annual or more frequent review of employee’s driving record based on the College insurer’s criteria; and safety training as required by management.
