POSITION SUMMARY

Overall goal for this work: Build our capacity to provide high-quality support services for all students, while building our students’ engagement in SEL skill-building activities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Work collaboratively with the members of the district and school-based SEL Teams on the following: 1. Support staff in the implementation of SEL Curriculum 2. In collaboration with the building and district administration, plan for and attend all building-based SEL Team meetings, up to 10 hours outside of the school day 3. Identify and promote professional development (PD) opportunities featuring social emotional learning (SEL) content throughout the school 4. Facilitate, assist, maintain, and adapt school training implementation efforts 5. Represent the school as a member of the district SEL Team, attend up to 3 District SEL meetings outside of the school day. 6. Assist in the development of a consistent and coherent Multi-Tiered System of Support to promote a consistent district-wide definition of social emotional learning (SEL) and assist with the development of the Tier 1 SEL Curriculum 7. Assist the building and district administration with identifying and implementing district-wide assessments 8. Use the data inquiry cycle to identify strengths of current programming and opportunities for continuous growth 9. Active and iterative delivery of SEL practices consistent with the CASEL competencies

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Regular and/or special education Massachusetts certified teacher, school adjustment counselor, school psychologist, or equivalent professional staff 2. Ability to attend coaches’ meetings/work with the leadership team 3. Skilled in collection and use of data for problem-solving and decision-making 4. Knowledge and fluency with evidence-based SEL practices (features, practices, and systems across tiers) 5. Understands basic behavioral principles 6. Familiar with components and operation of a proactive school-wide behavior discipline system 7. Ability to engage and facilitate in the data inquiry cycle and use available data sources to inform practice and recommend adjustments to practice

SALARY:
Stall Brook and DiPietro :

$2,000 Stipend (payable 40% in November and 60% in May/June)

Memorial:

$1,000 Stipend (payable 40% in November and 60% in May/June)
