Field Hockey Coach (Varsity) 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Wareham, MA 02571 This is a responsible position that requires working with students, faculty, administrators and parentsin the implementation of the sports program. The work is under the direction of the Athletic Directorand involves general overall responsibility for the total sports program. The Head Coach mustdemonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and enthusiastically with the entire school communityand demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. The Head Coach will have a record of proven successas a teacher and/or coach.Desired Experience or Training Demonstrate leadership ability in teaching and/or coaching, and direction of a quality sportsprogram in a multicultural high school and/or unit district. Ability to effectively and enthusiastically articulate the total athletic program for the WarehamHigh School with the school community, parents, and the public.

Position Responsibilities Directs and assumes general responsibility for the total sports program. Demonstrates supervisory and organizational skills associated with the implementation of aquality program. Demonstrates cooperation, friendliness and enthusiasm toward students, faculty, fellowcoaches, and the public sector. Demonstrates strong public relations skills. Motivates fellow coaches and student athletes by example. Plans, coordinates, supervises, and conducts a sports program based on the latest evidenceof knowledge and skill about the game. Disseminates information to and instructs studentathletes and fellow coaches in the above. Develops standards of conduct and safety for all student athletes. Adheres to thesestandards, instruction and supervises fellow coaches in the practice of standards. Promotes and adheres to school and district policies and procedures. Strict compliance with all MIAA rules and regulations. Works with Athletic Director in developing a competitive yearly game schedule. Exercises and teaches control and care of school-owned equipment. Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned and/or administratively directed. Participate in Athletic Department fundraisers. Organize all necessary forms, including user fees, physical forms, parental consent formsand concussion forms.
