The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baseball, along with the ability to inspire and develop athletes at various skill levels. This role involves coaching players, developing training programs, scouting for players, and fostering a positive team environment. The Baseball Coach/Scout will play a crucial role in enhancing players’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This is a position for someone who has experience in coaching travel baseball, and has either played in college or coached in college or high school. NHR Prospects is a full recruiting service that helps high school athletes gain exposure to colleges. We are looking to expand our brand into the West Coast with our Baseball program with ages 8u-18u. Responsibilities Develop and implement effective training programs tailored to the needs of individual players and the team as a whole. Conduct regular practice sessions focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork. Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff regarding player progress and team objectives. Organize and lead team meetings to discuss strategies, goals, and expectations. Manage game-day preparations including lineup decisions and player assignments. Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship. Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure alignment on training methods and player development strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in baseball coaching, scouting, or playing at a competitive level is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes. Familiarity with talent acquisition processes such as interviewing and employee orientation is advantageous. Experience in using tools like word documents, google docs, excel, and social media sites for marketing players. Ability to conduct research on effective coaching techniques and lead generation for recruiting new talent. Skills in cold calling for outreach purposes related to recruitment or community engagement are a plus. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all players feel valued and supported.
