Stipend-based The Head Coach for Wentworth Club Rowing provides supervision and effective leadership to the rowing club sport program. Responsibilities include fostering skill development and teamwork among students; promoting and upholding institute policies and procedures; and initiating activities in support of the sports club. The head coach will provide directions to the assistant coach in regard to team organization and required paperwork for the division membership. This position collaborates with the assistant coach to provide skill and developmental support to the team. A member of the coaching staff is required to be at all practices & events.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Knowledge Required:

Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.
Use instructions and guidelines to perform the job safety function.
Periodic training will be required.

Preferred Knowledge Required:

Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License
Ability to trailer boats to events
Bachelor’s degree
Level I US Rowing Certification
Knowledge of skill development and US Rowing rules and regulations
Ability to work with and develop a variety of experience and skill levels
The coach must attend all practices and regattas
