JOB DESCRIPTION
The University of Southern Maine seeks applicants for the temporary position of Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach on the Gorham Campus.
Core Duties:
Assist the head coach in teaching skills and strategies for soccer in the traditional and non-traditional seasons. Coach soccer team members individually and in groups and demonstrate appropriate techniques. Plan and direct portions of team training to encourage and develop the mental, physical, technical, and tactical aspects of a highly successful intercollegiate soccer team. Assist with recruitment of student-athletes. Adhere to and support all USM, LEC and NCAA rules, conditions, and regulations. Assist with Video breakdown evaluation. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Hours must be flexible to attend away matches and varied training times.
This is a part-time temporary position that will pensate up to $2,300 for the season and may vary depending on the selected candidate’s availability and time mitment. USM Athletics proudly supports the NCAA Division III philosophy and is fully engaged in

Required Qualifications:
High school and/or collegiate playing experience High level of soccer knowledge High School Diploma required/Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Previous soccer coaching experience
