Alright, listen up, ski aficionados and leadership legends! The crisp mountain air is calling, and an exhilarating opportunity awaits at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF)! We’re on the hunt for a dynamic, driven, and downright passionate individual to carve out a legacy as our next Director of Snow Sports & Head Men’s and Women’s Alpine Coach! This is a full-time, 10-month position. A typical season is August 15th through June 15th.
Typical salary range:
$37,089 – $48,460, plus a 10% employer retirement contribution. Forget the ordinary. Recruit and mentor talented student-athletes, fostering their athletic prowess, academic success, and personal growth.
Develop and implement cutting-edge training programs, pushing the boundaries of performance and cultivating a winning mentality.
Manage all aspects of the alpine programs, including budgeting, scheduling, and travel logistics, with precision and flair.
Collaborate with university stakeholders and the local community, building strong relationships and promoting the spirit of snow sports.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Three (3) years of applicable coaching snow sports experience
Must possess a USSA Level 100 License or equivalent
Familiarity with
NCAA/USCAA
philosophy, standards, rules, and procedures
Ability to travel extensively
CPR/First Aid certified on hire date or within thirty (30) days
USSA Referee License on hire date or within thirty (30) days
Valid State of Maine driver’s license (in good standing, based on UMS standards)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Intercollegiate coaching experience
Managerial and/or supervisory experience
PISA License(s)
Experience participating in intercollegiate snow sports competitions
Recruiting platform experience (i.e., Front Rush or comparable program)
