Effectively recruit prospective student-athletes to attend the University of New England.
Assist with planning and implementing instructional practices that maximize the talent and potential of student-athletes, while instilling values such as sportsmanship, leadership, and personal wellness.
Function as a collaborative member of the department, working toward common objectives and promoting a positive image of the University. Demonstrate high integrity and ethical behavior.
Remain knowledgeable of and comply with all University policies, NCAA Division III regulations, and conference requirements.
Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and a willingness to participate in departmental activities, professional organizations, and cross-campus collaborations (e.g., alumni relations, intercultural affairs, student affairs, institutional advancement).
Responsible for equipment and uniform inventory, meal arrangements, travel plans, and coordination of facility use.
As a secondary administrative duty, contest management responsibilities outside of primary playing season and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required (master’s degree preferred) with 3-5 years previous collegiate coaching experience required or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel extensively as required.
Previous experience in related field
Excellent communication skills
Head coaching experience preferred.
Demonstrate ability to relate to, and motivate, student athletes and to work with a variety of University staff, alumni and the outside community.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
