Job Description
Warren Wilson College invites applications for the position of Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach. We are seeking a passionate and driven individual who brings the experience, energy, and vision to lead and grow a competitive and inclusive swim program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong record of coaching and recruiting success, along with the ability to inspire and support student-athletes in both their athletic and academic journeys. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive team culture, promoting sportsmanship, and achieving excellence in performance. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the Men’s and Women’s Swimming programs, including coaching, recruiting, scheduling, and program administration. This is a full-time, exempt position that requires frequent evening and weekend work in alignment with the athletic schedule. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes. Please be aware no relocation assistance is available for this position. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Two years of coaching or related athletic experience, OR two-plus years competing at the collegiate level. Must have a thorough knowledge of the sport of swimming. Evidence of team-building skills focusing on communication and positive interactions. Demonstrated ability to work with people from a diverse range of identities and experiences. Current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use or ability to obtain certifications upon hire. Valid driver’s license.
