Job Overview:

Gym Skills is seeking a part-time coach to join our Gym Skills Mobile Gym team. Our goal is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle to our athletes by instilling self-confidence and strength through positive teaching. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual with knowledge/experience in gymnastics/tumbling and a love for working with children! Hours are flexible. Pay:

Hourly:

$20-$25 an hour (depending on based on experience, qualifications, and overall coaching performance) Includes loading, unloading time, and set up

Requirements:

• Background checks required
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Driver’s license
• Previous experience in gymnastics, tumbling, or cheerleading
• Physical ability to carry equipment up to 30 pounds
• Physical ability to spot children of various ages and sizes
• Ability to interact and build relationships with children of various ages and their parents/guardians
• Ability to motivate and effectively explain skills and technique to students
• Ability to work independently and work well with others

Job Duties:

• Transport equipment to facilities via motor vehicle
• Load and unload equipment at location site
• Keep record of equipment used each week for curriculum
• Communicate and coordinate with the facility’s Program Director on logistics (e.g., location of the class, directions, scheduling, etc.)
• Create and/or follow curricula for classes
• Design and assemble obstacle courses/stations for students
• Effectively coach and teach mobile gym classes
• Utilize proper class management when teaching classes
• Spot students
• Ensure students’ safety
• Track and document students’ progress
• Take students attendance in all classes
• Clean mats/equipment
• Converse with and update students’ parents/guardians on student progress
• Maintain professional appearance and professional communication on and off site at mobile gym locations
• Contribute to the growth of Gym Skills in a collaborative effort Gym Skills prioritizes the safety, fun, and education of our athletes.
