The ideal candidate is passionate about volleyball, committed to skill development, and excited to help build a positive and competitive team culture. This position supports the head coach in all aspects of team operations, including practices, games, and team logistics.

Responsibilities:

Assist the head coach in planning and leading practices focused on fundamentals, strategy, and team cohesion. Support game-day preparation, warm-ups, and in-game decision-making. Provide individualized instruction and encouragement to help players improve performance and confidence. Help manage and maintain team equipment, uniforms, and training gear. Foster a team environment that reflects Cristo Rey’s mission, values, and high standards of sportsmanship. Communicate effectively with the head coach, student-athletes, families, and school staff regarding schedules and team updates. Support training, team meetings, and player development activities. Ensure compliance with school and league policies related to safety, eligibility, and team conduct.

Qualifications:

Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred. Knowledge of volleyball techniques, game rules, and team strategy. Team-oriented attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with the head coach and athletic staff. Strong communication and organizational skills. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience with equipment management and team logistics is a plus. Commitment to supporting the growth and development of student-athletes in a high school setting.
