Job Responsibilities:

Assist with tryouts and team selection in consultation with the Varsity Head Coach Help Plan and execute effective practices Assist head coach with creating and executing game strategy Drive a minibus to all road games Collaborate with all coaches in the volleyball program and DA Athletics trainers, staff, administration and faculty Candidates should expect a regular weekday commitment of 90-minute practices with 2-3 games per week. This position reports to both the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach and the Director of Athletics. The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics: Experience playing or coaching volleyball at the interscholastic or collegiate level. A commitment to providing a safe, healthy, joyful environment for practice and play Strong communication and interpersonal skills An ability and eagerness to maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with all members of the school community (student-athletes, families, alumni, teachers, administrators and fellow coaches) The ability to lead student-athletes with competitive energy and formative care DA Employees Are culturally competent and believe in the central importance of diversity and equity in the life of a school community. Can work independently with minimal supervision and routinely prioritize multiple tasks. Have the ability to work in complex environments with a high degree of organizational effectiveness and attention to detail.
